The Elite Golf Management Team is well versed in all aspects of golf and facility management. Each team member brings valuable perspective and an individual knowledge base that has contributed to our advancement as a multicourse operator. Our Executive Team has been with us from our humble beginnings, as have many of our key employees positioned at our various facilities.
We look to the future to develop our Team, knowing that we will all be successful as we create happy customers along the way.
Cathy Robinson | Chief Financial OfficerCathy Robinson is a former banker with over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, including numerous positions within the accounting department at Par 4 Golf Management. Over the years, she has held the position of CFO at two community banks in both the California and Nevada markets.
In 2009, Cathy made the decision to leave banking when she was presented with the opportunity to assist in the startup of Par 4 Golf Management and later Elite Golf Management. She has since been instrumental in structuring the accounting department, allowing Elite Golf to grow from managing one facility to six in just six years’ time. The vast experience and depth of industry knowledge she has gained over the past six years has become highly beneficial, key in fact, to the growth and development of Elite Golf Management.
She brings to the game a sharp eye for detail and a multitude of skills and certifications, including oversight of both the accounting department at both the corporate level and course levels, strategic planning, annual budgeting, daily liquidity management, payroll oversight and reporting, and the preparation of monthly and quarterly tax returns. Her natural ability to work efficiently with everyone from clients to staff precedes her.
Derrick Hunter, PGA | Vice President of OperationsDerrick brings a wealth of experience as both a player and as an exceptional Golf Professional. An honors graduate of New Mexico State University, Class-A member of the PGA and winner of numerous golf events throughout New Mexico and Nevada, Derrick has earned the deep respect of Elite Golf’s founder, Keith Flatt, while working at one of Las Vegas’ most prestigious country clubs. Derrick intimately understands all aspects of course management, immersing himself completely in whatever task is at hand, all the while deftly managing staff and clients with professionalism and the kindest of dispositions.
Derrick was brought into the Elite Golf Management Team from day one and has been instrumental in the success of our facilities and the management of our Teams at the course levels. He has assisted in implementing our Mission and Vision for the future at each facility, working tirelessly to ensure our success in achieving our company goals and helping to secure the future of Elite Golf Management.
Derrick brings to the game a forward thinking and creative vision, brass tacks facility goal implementation, tracking and strategizing, as well as a gift for financial performance review and analysis. His daily operations oversight and down to earth staff management skills have won the respect of all he comes in contact with in the golf industry.
Matt Utter | Director of Golf SalesMatt’s knowledge and experience in all facets of the golf industry began with a graduate program internship in California with American Golf Corporation where he worked for five years alongside some of the best in the business. The accolades he receives from both new and repeat customers alike are a testament to his professionalism. From small group outings to large corporate events, Matt has the skill and expertise to deliver a phenomenal experience to each client.
Jim Bolla | Business Development & Concierge ServicesAs the head coach of the women’s basketball team, at UNLV Jim won 300 games and had teams nationally ranked as high as #2 in the country. Following his coaching career at UNLV, Jim took to fundraising for the UNLV Athletic Department with involvements of gifts totaling $50,000,000 plus. After a 24-year career in Division I athletics, Jim moved in to the Golf Industry as a golf shop assistant at Primm Valley Golf Club in 2010. Jim was promoted to working in business development in 2011 where he worked with companies in Elite Golf Club communities. In 2013 Jim took on the golf concierge services for Elite Golf helping service Elite Golf’s guests with golf packages for small groups including golf, hotel & transportation packages.
Greg Todd | Lead AgronomistFine tuning a good golf course into an exceptional golf course is a skill that Greg has honed for over 34 years working in the golf industry. As a former golf course superintendent for the PGA, Greg knows the intricacies of preparing for frequent PGA Tour events and is an essential asset to the Elite Golf agronomy team. Greg is a very organized and detail oriented individual who is result driven and likes the challenge and opportunity to put his expertise to use in solving problems to improve conditions. His construction experience while working on the Robert Trent Jones Trail of Golf as well as with the Del Web Corporation ranges from clearing, irrigation installation and grow-in. He is a class A member of the GCSAA and a past president for the SNGCSA.
Robert Wright | Lead AgronomistRobert Wright is a Class A Golf Course Superintendent with over 22 years in golf course maintenance. Robert is also an avid golfer, who started playing the game at age 8 and currently plays to a 13 handicap. After obtaining his A.S. degree in Turfgrass Management from College of the Desert in Palm Springs, California, Robert has the opportunity to showcase his knowledge and skills at some of the most prestigious private country clubs like Portland Golf Club, Royal Oaks Country Club, La Quinta Country Club, and Spanish Trails Country Club. His wide range of experience from public to private to resort golf courses enables him to be creative and flexible in his use of manpower and equipment to determine the most efficient and cost effective methods in golf course maintenance.
